Registration deadline:  September 1, 2010

Registration Rules

  1. You must be a paid-up member of Nimble Fingers in order to enter items in the show. 
  2. Entries must have been finished since our previous show in October 2008.
  3. Entries must be constructed of fabric.
  4. Entries must be clean, and free of smoke or odor. 
  5. Quilts must contain quilting.
  6. Sleeves or loops, as appropriate, are required on all quilts:    
    1. Quilts with a perimeter over 100” (an average of 25” per side) must have sleeves at least 4” deep.
    2. Quilts with a perimeter under 100” must have sleeves at least 2” deep.
    3. Very small quilts may use loops instead of sleeves.
    4. Quilts without sleeves or loops appropriate for their size will not be accepted for entry.
  7. Quilts must have a label on the back that contains the maker’s name, the quilter’s name, if different, and the name of the quilt.  The quilt name must match the quilt name on the registration form.
  8. Non-quilt entries must be labeled with the member’s name.  Each piece of a quilted clothing ensemble should be individually labeled.

How to Register

  1. For each entry, fill out the registration form here.
  2. Send two photographs of each entry to Mary Hanes.  Please remember to print your name, phone number and the entry name on the back of each photograph. 
    1. Nimble Fingers does not put member's addresses on the web site, and Mary's address is incorrect in the membership roster;  please email or telephone her for her address.  Her email is MHanes5@gmail.com and her telephone is 301-721-0140.
    2. We cannot accept emailed pictures.
  3. Email Linda Molinari or Mary Hanes if you need to withdraw an entry after you’ve registered it.

Delivering your entries

  1. Where:  The Universities at Shady Grove, Building II, 9630 Gudelsky Drive, Rockville, MD
  2. When:  Thursday October 14, 2010 between 8:30 am and 11:30 am.
  3. Be sure to obtain a receipt for each entry; it will be required to pick up your entry at the end of the show.

Picking up your entries

  1. Where:  The Universities at Shady Grove, Building II, 9630 Gudelsky Drive, Rockville, MD
  2. When:  Saturday, October 16, 2010 between 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm.
  3. Receipts will be required.
  4. You may pick up other members’ quilts as long as you have the receipts to do so.
